My New Web Site is Here!

2007-10-08

Drumroll, please........

It's finally here! My "baby" has arrived! After months of hard work and tons of typing, my new website is here. And I couldn't be happier!

I am thrilled to connect with women all around the world and give them a taste of what we've been creating with our Goddess Gathering. I'll be talking about things that move and inspire me on my quest to become even more empowered. You will be able to chat with other Goddesses and learn from one another. There's even a monthly "Goddess Spotlight". Maybe that could be you?? You are in for a treat as you learn how to let your inner Goddess out. You will be in the company of some truly inspirational women who will support you as you discover what it means to be an empowered woman.

Sit and visit for a while. You'll be glad you did.

Butterflies Over Hollywood

2007-10-05

I did it!!! After months of hard work and planning, Butterflies Over Hollywood was a huge success. This fundraiser for the Lupus Foundation of America was a labor of love dedicated to my sister Shneequa, who has a severe case of lupus. I want to thank everyone involved in creating this wonderful event. All in attendance were dressed to the nines! Plus, the Goddesses came out in full force! Don't we all just love a reason to dress up?!?!? Thanks, Goddesses!!!

Read on for one of the many glowing reviews of Butterflies Over Hollywood...

The Lupus Foundation of America (LFA) and Maybelline New York, in association with the Will and Jada Smith Family Foundation, hosted the First Annual Butterflies Over Hollywood soiree on Saturday, September 29, at the historic El Rey Theater in Los Angeles. Actress Jada Pinkett Smith headlined a group of more than 300 celebrities and guests who helped raise funds for LFA programs and services in Los Angeles.

The event was hosted by Malcolm-Jamal Warner and Tomiko Fraser, who also created the event. Tomiko is in her unprecedented eighth year as the face of Maybelline New York. Tomiko also proudly serves as a national spokesperson for LFA in support of her sister Shneequa, who suffers from lupus.

LFA transformed the El Rey Theater into a spectacular Cotton Club-themed night of glamour with special live performances. Los Angeles had not seen a 1920s-themed event of this caliber in recent history.
