What is happening with young women in Hollywood? I know that we've all heard about the trials and tribulations of Lindsay, Paris, and Britney. Why are these young women so committed to a life of struggle? Why has no one stepped in and lent a loving hand of support? Or maybe someone has and these young ladies just don't know how to accept it. I would love to meet these women and give them a hug. I would listen to them. I would try to understand why they are on the path they've chosen. I would offer my shoulder, my ear, and my heart to them. Because isn't that all that women need sometimes? Someone to REALLY listen to and hear them. Someone to really be there for them? Unconditionally love them, no matter what. Someone to offer support when life seems too big to handle on their own. Can you be that for another woman today? Doing so might just be the thing she needs to lift her up, dust her off, and point her in a direction she can feel empowered by.

Yes I can do that for sure, thanks for reminding me that sometimes people just really need to be heard and really need a good hug. and congrats to you Tomiko the site looks great..

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this very important issue. I have felt the exact same way about these young women in Hollywood!! They seem to just need a big sister or mother to take them in their arms and let them know that they are just little girls that have not quite grown up into their "new expectations and roles" I really and truly feel that Britney, Paris, Lindsay, and so many others really just need to feel acceptance and love that is 100% no doubt about it unconditional and not based on their next hit song or movie!

I don't know what it's like to live the Hollywood life...but my guess is that when you have everything (materially speaking)..you feel like there's nothing to loose. I agree with LoriL, i think it's about feeling acceptance and finding genuine love..but if i could sit with the Britney's of Hollywood...I would tell them you need to find something outside of this world you live in that keeps you grounded..family, not having a cell phone, your faith- there has to be SOMETHING in your life that when it crosses your mind..it makes you think twice before you do something stupid. One "A" list celebrity who I admire with regard to this is Beyonce...i know she can't sleep w/o someone wanting to know what kind of pillow she uses! lol. But her privacy about her relationships, her family, and the way she carries herself seems to be what keeps away from becoming a Paris or Brittany.

Well said, I cannot imagine what a celebrity lifestyle is like. But It must be difficult and very easy to lose yourself. I makes me sad to see these women of all ages, destroying themselves. When God has oppened so many doors for them and they have so much, and so much power to do good things in this world. Like you are doing, if only they could follow your path.
Yes they need to be heard, held and advised. They also need to be left alone as well. They need their privacy as well, I don't know why people are so consumed with their lives...I pray they will find their way or God will put someone in their path to guide them.
